Kate’s story bears the message that opportunity is something you can create for yourself.
Starting in her hometown of Edinburgh and ending up on the other side of the world, ironically in the Scottish-settled South Island of New Zealand, Kate regales her experiences with humour and elegance, detailing how she succeeded as a professional musician - after being advised by her piano teacher at the age of 7 to give up.
Her journey takes us from performing in haunted castles across Scotland to suddenly finding herself serenading 16,000 people in a stadium in China back in 2004. Kate has gone on to perform for many celebrities, to lead charity initiatives across Asia and play in some of the most spectacular locations across the world, all the while expanding into businesses that she would never have imagined possible.
